Eight terrorists killed in operations: ISPR

Intelligence based operations conducted from Nov 29 to 30; two security forces personnel martyred, says statement.

RAWALPINDI: As many as eight terrorists were killed in separate operations conducted by security forces in different parts of Khyber Pakthunkhwa.

According to a statement issued by the military’s Inter-Services Public Relations here, two security forces personnel embraced martyrdom in the intelligence based operations conducted on November 29 and 30.

On intelligence reports about the presence of terrorists in Bakakhel area of Bannu, an operation was conducted in which five terrorists were killed and nine injured. An army jawan identified as Iftikhar Hussain, 29, from Jhang  embraced martyrdom in the operation.

In another operation in the Shagai area of Khyber, three terrorists were eliminated and two others were arrested. During the exchange of firing, Captain Zuhaib Uddin, 26, from Lahore, who was leading the operation, embraced martyrdom, said the statement.
