Pakistan gets $149 million for two projects

Amount will be spent on promoting digital economy and resilience to floods.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has been provided a loan of 149 million dollars by the Wolrd Bank for its two projects.

The projects are aimed at promoting digital economy and increasing resilience to floods Floods.

The board of the executive directors approved the release of the amount for Pakistan today, an official of the finance ministry stated.

Out of the total amount, 70 million will be set aside for utilization of the Digital Economy Enhancement Project. ThisĀ  project will support the expansion of digitally enabled public service delivery for citizens and firms.

The financing for the Sindh Barrages Improvement Project worth million dollars will support better resilience to floods and improvements in the reliability, safety, and management of the Sindh barrages.
