Political mandate stolen by hidden forces: Fazal

Says Pakistan was founded in a democratic way with people’s sacrifices and there was no role of establishment.

ISLAMABAD: JUI-F chief Molana Fazlur Rehman on Monday vented out his anger at the establishment while speaking in National Assembly after taking oath as MNA.

He supported the demand of PTI member and former speaker Asad Qaiser that the embattled party of jailed Imran Khan had the constitutional right to hold protest rallies and public gatherings without any hurdles.

Molana Fazal said that since creation of Pakistan, the country had not been able to promote democracy and hidden forces were still making all decisions while elected representatives had become just rubber stamps.

He said Pakistan was founded in a democratic way with people’s sacrifices and there was no role of the establishment or bureaucracy in creation of the country. He asked if parliament was a house of people or the establishment.”

He said hidden forces sitting behind the wall are controlling politicians and taking all decisions. What type of politics is this when decisions are taken by them and politicians are held responsible by the public for all these.

Later, talking to media, Molana Fazal said that the mandate of the people had been stolen and he would be forced to hold a long march to the capital. He said if  anyone tried to stop the long march, its consequences would far-reaching.
