LAHORE: The Special Operations Cell of Punjab police has arrested seven persons from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who were wanted in serious cases of extortion, robbery and snatching.
According to a spokesperson for the Punjab police, the police team after arresting the wanted criminals brought them back from Sharjah. Among the wanted fugitives now in police cc custody is Sufian Ali who was wanted by Gujranwala police in 32 cases of police encounters and terrorism.
In addition, Abdul Latif had killed his sister-in-law in Rahim Yar Khan in 2023 while Zohaib of Sialkot and Jaleel of DG Khan were wanted by the police in different cases registered against them.
According to the police, Iqbal was wanted by the Sialkot police in a case of fake visas.
It should be noted that the number of dangerous fugitive criminals arrested from abroad this year has increased to 16.
