ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ought a report about lingering issues between Islamabad and the government of Azad Kahsmir on tariff issues related to the Neelum-Jhelum power project.
According to media reports, the federal government and the AJK government could not finalize the tax rates and royalty on the power project through a committee has been formed to resolve the issues. The committee was formed to come up with proposals on the basis of which an agreement would be signed between the two governments for future tariffs and taxes on the power project.
The reports said that as the modalities could not be finalized leading to a delay, the prime minister sought a report from the officials concerned to finalize the proposals after resolving all issues.
