Saudi FM extremely impressed with govt’s initiatives

Says his country believes in potential of Pakistan especially in the economic sphere. 

ISLAMABAD: Visiting Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud on Tuesday said he was ‘extremely impressed’ with the initiatives of the government of Pakistan especially work being done by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).   

He stated this while addressing a joint news conference with Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar here on Tuesday evening. The Saudi foreign minister added that his country believed in the potential of Pakistan especially in the economic sphere. 

He said his visit to Pakistan was very positive and productive, adding meetings of his delegation with the Pakistani authorities laid the framework for significant  work  to be done in the next few months.

He said both the countries will continue working together for economic prosperity as well as security of the region and the world. 

Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar appreciated the interest of Saudi Arabia in enhancing investments in Pakistan. He said Pakistan was committed to strengthening investment processes, upgrading regulations and enhancing infrastructure to foster a flourishing economic environment.

Responding to a question about the situation in Gaza, the Saudi foreign minister said the situation was unacceptable. he called for immediate ceasefire in Gaza and said there was no justification for the restriction of humanitarian aid entering Gaza.
